Why should you care about the strain?
Just like people, every hemp strain is unique. Different varieties contain different blends of cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and other beneficial compounds. People turn to CBD for a multitude of reasons, and we believe they should have a multitude of options to choose from. Crafting products from a single-strain, or a blend of specially selected strains, gives people the option to go beyond generic CBD and discover which cannabinoids and terpenes work best to support their individual needs.
How do we choose our strains?
We source our strains from reliable geneticists, ensuring that any seeds we receive are healthy and disease free. Each strain is carefully selected for their unique properties and ability to thrive in our Maryland micro-climate. We look for strains that have robust cannabinoid and terpene profiles, and closely monitor their growth and health throughout the season. We have tested out a wide range of different cultivars, but only the highest performing strains are developed into products.
Forbidden V
Forbidden V is a powerhouse, boasting high levels of both cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabidivarin (CBDV). This sativa-dominant strain was developed by Oregon CBD by crossing two high varin strains, Suver V and Elder Resin Berry. Varins, like cannabidivarin (CBDV), are a sub-family of cannabinoids. While they are similar to their non-varin counterparts, they have slightly different molecular structures that produce slightly different effects.
Forbidden V takes longer to mature than our other strains and gives off aromas of mango, coconut, and ripe berries when it is ready to harvest. The dominant terpenes in this strain are caryophyllene, humulene, myrcene, pinene, and bisabalol. These terpenes, combined with the high levels of both CBD and CBDV in this strain, enhance performance, energy, and recovery, and can be used to provide pre- or post-workout support.

Frosted Kush
Frosted Kush is an indica forward strain developed by crossing Frosted Lime and Kush Hemp. Developed by Phytonix, this strain produces compact early finishing buds that smell fruity and floral. This CBD varietal also contains small amounts of cannabichromene (CBC) and cannabigerol (CBG). These cannabinoids combined with this strain’s dominant terpenes, bisabolol, caryophyllene, and humulene, create an extract that supports focus and creativity while providing an uplifting boost.

Painted Lady
Painted Lady is a sativa dominant hybrid created by Davis Hemp Farms using genetics sourced from American feral hemp. Named after the Painted Lady butterfly, this cultivar emerges rapidly with flowers that contain highlights of purple, red, or pink. Painted Lady is a CBD-dominant strain, but it also contains a dash of cannabichromene (CBC) and the terpenes caryophyllene, bisabolol, humulene, and guaiol. Sour Suver Haze
Sour Suver Haze is a sativa dominant cross created by Oregon CBD using Suver 8 and Gorilla Glue #4. This varietal creates dense plants with frosty green flowers, and is a potent producer of CBD. The dominant terpenes, caryophyllene, humulene, terpinolene, and ocimene, pair nicely with the CBD to create a single-strain extract that helps you relax and unwind and supports restful sleep.
